Minissha Lamba Fan Club
Minissha Lamba was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi-speaking Sikh family. She completed a degree with honors at Miranda House, University of Delhi, majoring in English. She has one brother.
Her dad was in the hospitality business. This gave Lamba to travel around the country and meet many people. Her long term ambition was to become a journalist. However, she pursued modeling as hobby. She was a well-placed model in Indian modelling industry.
She had not really decided to act in films, but she loved modeling & was fortunate enough to be selected to model for Cadbury. Clearly her intent was to complete her education, concentrate on an academic career and do some modeling on the side.
Minissha got her first break unexpectedly, when she was auditioning for a Cadbury commercial in Delhi. Then came her first movie called Yahaan which was directed by Shoojit Sircar.This movie gave Lamba her break and she enacted the role with a lot of grace. Lamba’s dream role happens to be that of Kate Winslet’s in the movie Titanic.
Her other movies include Corporate, Rocky: The Rebel, Anthony Kaun Hai & Honeymoon Travels. Her upcoming movies include, Anamika, Shaurya, Dus Kahaniyaan. |
