Shamita Shetty is the younger sister of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. She is the second daughter of Surendra Shetty and Sunanda Shetty. She was born in Mangalore. Her parents are manufacturers of tamper-proof caps for the pharmaceutical industry & her native language is Tulu.
Shamita Shetty attended St Anthony's Girls High School in Chembur. She graduated from Sydenhams College Mumbai & diploma course in Fashion Design from SNDT. In recent polls she has been estimated at a Net Worth of INR 115 Million.
She made her debut with the 2000 blockbuster Mohabbatein, she mostly found success in item numbers for which she is best known these include Sharara Sharara in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai & Chori Pe Chori in Saathiya.
