Harman Baweja was born in Mumbai. He is born in a Sikh family. His parents are famous director Harry Baweja & producer Pammi Baweja.

He received his education in Mumbai, starting with Jamnabai Narsee School & completed almost all his studies in Mumbai. He worked as an assistant director, editor and minor finance person for most of his father's films. 

He made his debut in Love Story 2050 in 2008 starring Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra, produced and directed by Harry Baweja is made on a lavish budget of more than 40 Crore. His debut film in Bollywood was sci-fi Love Story 2050, which tanked in the Box Office being pitted against Imran Khan's Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. 

Harman was a good dancer but he became exceptional with the help of a fine dance teacher Sanjay Yadav, who has been training him for the past two years.
