| An evidence of his class was clearly visible when he bailed India out of a crunch situation and also won the match miraculously in the Natwest Trophy final against England at Lords. |
| About Me |
|---|
Yuvraj Singh born in Chandigarh is the son of former Indian fast bowler and Punjabi movie star Yograj Singh.
He has been a member of the Indian cricket team since 2000 (ODIs) and played his first Test match in 2003. He is the current vice captain of the ODI team. At the 2007 World Twenty20 he hit six sixes in an over against England's Stuart Broad - a feat only performed three times previously in any form of senior cricket, and never previously in an international match between two Test cricket nations.
On 3rd October 2000, when Yuvraj Singh made his debut for India, he made an effective presence of youth appearance in the team. For the first time, India found a youngster who brought a new attitide to the team. Ever since the day of his debut, Yuvraj has been one of the outstanding fielders ever played for India. Not to mention, his aggressive batting and trmendous ability to genrate power is one of his abilities.
During the tour of Australia when he scored that brilliant 139 against the World Champions on their home turf, his talent was completely recognized. His presence in the middle order makes India's batting look more stronger, for he is a classic finisher of a game.
With his inclusion in the Test side, only time will tell whether he will be able to perform the same way at the Test level.
I have dreamt of wearing the Indian colours since I was 13 and I knew that one day, I would. |
